About Us

We are an English and Japanese couple who met in Sydney, Australia, where we lived together for many years. Through a Japanese friend whom we met in Sydney, we were introduced to Myoko and fell in love with the beauty of the area during several holiday visits. We then decided to move to Japan for an extended period and in 2018 we were lucky enough to find this wonderful house which we have since been running as Myoko Woodland Lodge. Summer and winter, this area of Japan has an amazing amount to offer, from fantastic snow, to stunning cherry blossom in spring to summer hiking, cycling, golfing and great local delicacies.
